Great communication from manager, and the guys did well at moving. But make sure when hiring that at least one mover on your job understands English. Doing a move involves a lot of logistics, and using Google translate to communicate just doesn’t cut it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I had confirmed a start time of 11 am. That morning I was contacted about pushing the start time to noon - no problem. Two movers show up at a little late because they got caught up in WF traffic. 20 minutes later one of them walks off because he doesn't want to do stairs. A new person is sent and while in transit, backs out around an hour later. Owner contacts me and says someone from the south side will be there by 3 pm. As a team, there was little thought put into a plan of action for how to unpack a truck in the rain. They left boxes stacked mere feet from the entry of my apartment, allowing then to damage my books inside. When they left at 7 pm, the second mover was demanding money at my door, calling the police and taking photos of the moving truck.

Movers were on time and polite, but very slow. They also asked for a ride to their next job, which was uncomfortable. Finally, a curio cabinet was damaged, partly because they did not have any straps or equipment to actually move furniture up stairs.

The movers didn’t come with their own transportation to get to the nearby unloading spot but they worked hard. Nothing was broken or stolen
