Rath & Movers

Rath & Movers were excellent. We put in the order for the movers the night before and the next morning they contacted us to set up a time. They stayed in communication to let us know when they were available, when they were on their way, and when they arrived. The movers were very friendly and professional. We had 3 movers for 3 hours. Our driveway is a little steep so I wasn't comfortable parking my uhaul truck on it, instead I parked at the top of the driveway which meant that the truck was about 30 feet from the house. They were able to unload our 26 foot uhaul truck, which included carrying some furniture upstairs to the second floor of our house. Next time we move, we'll be calling up Rath & Movers again.

Things started out very poorly that day but Heather and Garrett came after I requested more help. They saved the day! They were very apologetic about the problems that happened in the morning. I am rating the stars above as the company as a whole since the first set of movers were unable to complete the job. We have a second move planned and will be requesting Heather and Garrett!!!!

The company was very responsive in managing a same day move. Ray stayed in communication with me as he was arranging staff to do the move. However, the crew was not properly vetted. I was very clear in making the arrangements that this was a piano move down a flight of stairs. Details & pictures were provided so that appropriate staff could be assigned. The crew leader was capable of working on this move, but it was left to him to recruit his crew. The two crew members were not suitable for this move and were unable to handle the piano. I had to ask one of my neighbors to help once the piano was on the flight of stairs since it was obvious that the move was in peril. Fortunately, he was able to salvage the move. The crew were well-meaning, but only one of the members was capable of this job.
