Movers ignored repeated instructions not to use dollies on stairs for fragile items. Boxes bounced, breaking glassware, damaging fragile items, cracking plastic totes & damaging boxes. 3 dozen furniture pads were available, yet furniture was mostly unwrapped or wrapped carelessly, resulting in chipped & damaged furniture. Interior apartment walls were damaged & requests to be careful were ignored. When I asked boxes be kept upright, one mover responded rudely. Strong smell of weed during move. Movers were unhappy that my husband & I were present either in apartment or near truck, repeatedly saying we were watching every move. As paying customers, we expect to be present to ensure safe & accountable loading of our belongings. Their irritation was odd & uncomfortable. When different movers later unloaded the truck, they were surprised by how poorly it was packed. Nearly 2 dozen furniture pads were unused & still sealed. Not informed how to pursue reimbursement for damaged belongings.
