Many problems with our movers obtained through UHaul. Millennial Movers 4802122817 A little over ONE HOUR late, even after we told them the U-Haul store by Dallas closed at 7pm. We did not make it and had to take care of it Sunday. Packed the heavy items near the door of the truck. Most things fell or shifted during the move and several items were damaged including family antiques A bookcase was placed in a way that didn't allow us to close the door of the Uhaul. We called and asked for them to come back to move it but they wouldn’t. We said we would put a hold on the Discover card to make sure they would come back to help and they texted back to us was, We completed the job before leaving. We will dispute any attempts to cancel payment for a job completed. - We have used UHaul Trucks and movers from other companies for our other moves. Have never had the disregard and disrespect we received from this company. We have never had broken items until now.

First, this was a difficult job; 3rd floor apartment moveout, no elevator. Here is what went well and not so well-- #One of the two movers was being largely unproductive for the first hour until the boss showed up. The other was fine. #The boss stepped in and helped get everything moving at a good pace. He was awesome. #Movers were not the least bit careful with my belongings, and damaged several pieces of furniture, scraped major appliances, damaged a wall, etc. #The boss told me (in-person) to contact him once I knew the amount of damage so that they could put it through their insurance or pay it outright. He then ignored all attempts to contact. #I think the size of the job was underestimated (4 hours), but they made sure to finish anyway. And it was billed at a flat rate. If not for the unresolved damage claim, I would have tipped a couple hundred bucks in order to better compensate them for their time. The 1-star review is largely due to lack of communication on the damages.
