Eazy Moving damaged my glass dining table while unloading it under U-Haul Moving Help job. Before moving it, I told the crew it had a double-glass top and to carry it by the base. While carrying it up my brick entry steps, one mover lost his balance and the glass struck the brick wall, shattering. The table had been loaded in Orlando by another crew using straps and arrived intact. Eazy Moving later claimed I refused to remove the base, which is false. The only discussion about equipment was my asking whether they had straps, and they said no. Maurice instructed me to contact U-Haul because I booked through them. U-Haul advised me to resolve the matter with the owner or file a dispute. The table’s replacement value is $2,799.99.
