I had an extremely frustrating experience on my moving day due to a dispute between U-Haul and Blackbear Moving that left me caught in the middle with no resolution. U-Haul delayed the delivery of my reserved truck by 30 minutes. This directly caused Blackbear's crew to arrive and start late — a delay that was entirely outside my control. Despite this, Blackbear is now demanding that I pay for that 30-minute gap. When I contacted both companies to resolve this, neither accepted any responsibility. U-Haul told me to call Blackbear. Blackbear told me to call U-Haul. I spent a lot of time on hold with each of them — on my moving day — only to be passed back and forth with no solution offered. To make matters worse, Blackbear continues to call me repeatedly demanding payment for a delay they did not cause and that I did not create. This is completely unacceptable. Moving is already stressful enough. For two companies to leave a customer stranded, ignored, and and harassed is horrible.

I had a great experience with black bear movers. I was late coming back from picking up some furniture, and they waited for me patiently. They were professional and attentive to my belongings, and the move was really efficient. They even offered to put together my table because they had extra time, and they could see it would be hard for me to flip it over myself. Recommend to all!

The two movers who came were decent overall, but the experience could have been better. It felt like you get what you pay for. One mover seemed experienced and efficient, while the other appeared less prepared. They completed the job, but there were areas for improvement. For example, they initially struggled with unfolding the ramp and unlocking the ratchet system. They also were not wearing gloves or proper safety shoes. I later learned they had already been working since 4 a.m. before arriving at my place around 10 a.m. for another long shift. They seemed exhausted and overworked, so better scheduling and breaks would likely improve service quality. The biggest issue was management. The boss repeatedly called during the move asking for payment for each additional hour, which became disruptive for both me and the workers. It would have been more professional to settle all extra charges at the end. Overall, they got the job done, but I would likely consider other options next time

The movers arrived an hour and 30 minutes late which caused me to do the majority of the loading. Only credit I will give them is for the unloading. Overall, a decent experience. The tardiness was unprofessional though.
