We hired Brownsville Movers through Moving Help for an 8 U-Box load. I agreed to their suggestion to bring only 2 U-Boxes and a 26ft truck, not realizing this wasn’t the standard process and that all boxes should have been delivered. This resulted in our household goods being handled twice and only 2 U-Boxes’ worth of blankets used, leaving furniture less protected than needed. Heavy book boxes were stacked on delicate tables, totes were stacked despite my request, and items weren’t packed to maximize space. They also dragged a heavy dresser across our wood floor, causing damage that was never reported. My wife and I spent the next day repacking 5 boxes to prevent further issues. While our goods ultimately arrived with minimal additional damage and Dre refunded a 500 dollar off-platform payment, the experience created unnecessary work and stress. Better communication and standard packing practices are needed.
