U-Haul analyzes each previous year to examine the growth for all 50 U.S. states with the U-Haul Growth Index. While thinking about the fastest-growing states in 2024, The Moving Help® Marketplace thought it’d be helpful to point out how many Service Providers the Marketplace has in each Top 10 state in 2025.
Top 10 Growth States in 2024
The No. 1 state with the largest growth rate in 2024 was South Carolina. South Carolina jumped from No. 4 to No. 1 to unseat Texas, which landed at No. 2.

The largest jump from 2023 to 2024 among the Top 10 states was Indiana. Indiana finished at No. 8 in 2024 compared to No. 27 in 2023. It was one of the many fastest-growing states in 2024.
