Hired for move in, had to pay for an extra hour to complete the move compared to the other company I hired for move out that took 1.5 hours. Movers were fine, dragged a lot of my furniture across the floor and bumped into the apartment hallway walls frequently. Had to do a decent amount myself in order for the move to not take 4 hours.

They said they’d bring dollies, proceeded to not bring dollies. The paid time includes the time it takes them to transit, and they don’t have their own vehicle which means they either have to use public transit or you have to drive them in a desperate vehicle. When told the way they were holding the bookshelf was breaking it, they just continued to hold it in the same way. Same thing for our bed frame. They had to be convinced to use a dolly (we rented some ourselves), after marking up the floors in our commons space with the heavy objects. They worked very slowly, and completed half the amount of work in 2 hours than we had previously without professional movers. Required a lot of specific direction. Were not careful with boxes marked fragile, and stacked boxes precariously in truck, requiring us to fix it ourselves. We ended up asking them to leave two hours early (forgoing the unloading service), essentially paying them $200 to leave.
