The Moving Boys L.L.C.

Angela and Madajah made the Moving Boys into the Moving Gals for the day and stuck it out doing my 5 U-boxes well into the night without complaining. A 9-hour job didn’t faze them and even though I had to help with more of the lifting than I had hoped to (past history of back surgery), we got the move done in one day. Even when U-haul was going to close at 7, they came up with a solution— we loaded my U-boxes into their moving truck, and then drove it back to the house and unloaded it. It made the job longer, but I’m glad we were able to finish it. It’s worth mentioning too that the other movers I had scheduled no-showed, but Jim was able to accommodate me and got the last minute helpers to do the job. It was a job well done, and I tipped them cash, but pro tip to others, you can tip when you’re leaving a review later! I appreciate the help I received and they were both careful and respectful of the house and belongings. 4-stars because I did too much lifting for my back.

The ‘leader’ told us it was his second day on the job and he had no experience. The ‘second in command’ however seemed very knowledgeable and was extremely polite. ‘Leader’ used foul language in front of my wife and I - which is what it is - it was just a little shocking and unprofessional. They dropped one couch (brand new $2300 love seat pullout) in the mud. We were able to get the stain out by renting an upholstery cleaner with our own money ($39.99 for 24 hour rental). Other than those things they were fine. It’s not rocket science but I am disappointed they sent a newbie to us. The smaller, quiet guy should have been the leader as he had better manners and interpersonal skills.

Movers did not seem experienced. They where going to leave with the first pod not even half full. They seem to have know moving experience. I'm 60 years old. I had to constantly manage the movers because they seem to have no experience.
