Alliance Movers

MY MOVE- I hired three Alliance Movers to load my 26 ft U-Haul truck with items from a large storage area and the remaining few items from my apartment. PROS- Awesome! Very professional crew! On time. Well organized. Excellent communication. They moved at a good pace, were polite, and handled my items with care. They were there to work and did so. I’ve hired loaders from different companies over the years and too often, there is too much chit-chatting instead of working. What initially stood out to me was that their supervisor (Amin) communicated with me the night before, with simple and clear suggestions on what I'd likely need for this event (e.g., furniture pads, tie-downs). He was also on site initially, to view the job and to instruct his employees on best practices for this particular job. Amin's communication with me was excellent throughout this process, which helped me to feel confident with Alliance's handling of my belongings. I will hire them again. CONS- None.

Amin kept in touch well before the pick up by SMS email and phone. He listened to my requests and suggestions and implemented them. The packing was very well done. Highly recommended.

All four movers were very capable and hard working. They handled all of my property with care. I was especially pleased to have them successfully move a 83 inch TV. They loaded and unloaded a 26 foot truck with professional ease. I also found their hourly rates to be very reasonable. I was extremely pleased with the Alliance Moving service. They made a huge contribution to a smooth move!

I sought out Alliance Movers because they had good reviews, and I paid a premium for their services (4x the rate of the cheapest option). I expected quality service, and items to be packed with care and attention. However my experience was anything but. Items were tossed in boxes with no thought. My two U Boxes were packed with fragile things heaped atop fragile things. My two U Box containers were packed so poorly, that we ran out of space before fitting all my things. I had to repack one of the U Box containers after they left in order to fit the remaining items. When I unpacked after the move, several items were damaged. Two lamps broken, two antique end tables severely damaged, an antique dresser received a giant scratch, and several smaller items were also damaged. This is a budget moving option masquerading as a high quality service. Would not recommend.
