Carter Moving And Delivery

Helpers were over 3 hours late. We requested an arrival time of 4-5pm for a two-hour move and they texted me a few hours earlier that they’d show up at 430pm. They didn’t show up until after 730pm and by then, they looked exhausted. I’ve hired helpers before and had no problem moving a majority of our stuff in the two hours. In fact, the last time we moved was down four tiny flights of stairs in an old New York City apartment building. These guys did less in 2 hours DOWN two flights of stairs than the guys who moved us into this apartment UP the stairs did. They took frequent long breaks, which is fine, but the breaks ate up at least 20-30 minutes of the two hours I booked. We ended up maxing out our time because the building won’t let us make noise in the hallway after 10pm. They ended up moving less than half of our stuff. I was frustrated that they prioritized small, light boxes over the heavy things we hired them to help us with. Wouldn’t recommend these guys again.
