Does Moving Help® Have Insurance?

Posted: August 7, 2023
A moving labor team pushes a wrapped piece of furniture up a moving truck ramp.

Despite the best plan, protection, and care, mistakes do happen, and moving is no different. There’s a potential for something to get damaged during any move, no matter how careful your movers are. This is why you might consider purchasing moving insurance. Movers insurance is a great tool to have during moving day.

Customers have the option to purchase our Moving Help® coverage called Safeload. This option protects a customer’s belongings when a Service Provider is loading or unloading their items.

What Is Safeload?

Safeload is a coverage option available to purchase when using a top-performing Moving Help Service Provider. Safeload has various coverage limits, so customers can find the right moving insurance coverage for them for their upcoming move.

Do I Need to Purchase Safeload?

Whether you want to purchase Safeload or not will be up to you. It’ll depend on the value of your items, how far you’re moving, and whether you want to get insurance. Other factors such as moving to or out of state, during hurricane season, or other natural disaster seasons might make you consider getting Safeload coverage.

Additionally, moving insurance can make you feel better, especially when you move extremely sentimental items.

Whether it’s family heirlooms, personal mementos, or irreplaceable pictures — regardless of their monetary value — you might want to consider purchasing Safeload coverage to be prepared for unforeseen events to help protect these cherished possessions.

Where Is Safeload Available?

Safeload coverage is offered in most U.S. states. Check out the Moving Help Marketplace to see whether Safeload is offered in your area.

How Do I Know Whether My Service Provider Offers Safeload?

You’ll know whether your Service Provider offers Safeload by looking for the green icon and words that say “Safeload Coverage Eligible.” Customers also can use the sort and filter function by checking the Safeload coverage box to only see Moving Helpers who offer Safeload.

If your Service Provider doesn’t offer Safeload, that means they’ve completed fewer jobs or have not yet met the other minimum qualifications to offer Safeload.

How Do I File a Safeload Claim?

You can file a Safeload claim by contacting Repwest Insurance. You can reach Repwest Insurance at 1-800-528-7134 with your job number (JB-).
