How to Add Hours to Your Moving Help Move

Sometimes when you’re moving, you might find out you need more time to complete your move. Moving Help® gives customers two ways to add hours to their Moving Help order. 

The first way is to go to your Customer Account on MovingHelp.com and find the job number that needs more time added. The second way is to have the moving company request additional hours, which you can then approve on your end through email. 

Moving Help wants to help make your move as easy as possible. 

How to Add Hours Through My Moving Help Customer Account? 

While discussing the specifics with your Moving Help Service Provider, you might decide you’ll need to add hours to your upcoming move. You also might be in a situation where your movers are quickly and efficiently working on your move but let you know they’ll need more time to finish your move. 

If you decide you’d like to add hours to your move, so your moving company can finish everything, you can go to your Moving Help Customer Account to add hours. 

The following instructions will show you how to add hours to your move on your phone. 

Step 1: Go to MovingHelp.com

Step 2: Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen and then click on “Account.”

Step 3: Enter your email address that you used to book the order. Then you can enter your password. Click on the “Submit” button.

Step 4: Find the “My Jobs” section and then find the Job Number you’re wanting to edit to add hours. Then click on the “Edit” button.

Step 5: Scroll down until you see the “Add Hours” section. Then select the additional number of hours you need for your move. Then click on the “Confirm Changes” button. Next, a billing screen will pop up. Enter your information and click on the “Pay Now” button. 

Step 6: Afterward, the screen will say the payment is processed. If you want to verify it worked, you can go back to “My Jobs.” Select the Job Number you edited, and it’ll tell you your original hours and the additional hours you just added. You also can see it by scrolling down until you see the “Scheduled Service Summary” box. 

That’s all you have to do. You’ll still use the same Payment Code you received when you originally placed your order.

How to Add Hours When My Moving Company Requests Additional Hours? 

Let’s say you’re in the middle of your move, and you and your moving company decide you need additional hours to finish it. Instead of adding hours yourself, you can have the moving company request additional hours for you. 

You’ll receive an email saying the moving company is requesting additional hours. You can accept or reject the request. 

If you want to accept the request, you’ll log in to your Moving Help Customer Account on MovingHelp.com and then enter your billing information to add the additional hours. 

Once again, your additional hours will be added to the same Payment Code for your move. You won’t have to worry about receiving a brand new or additional Payment Code when you add hours to your move. 

What Moving Help Services Can I Add Hours? 

You can add hours to multiple Moving Help services when hiring hourly movers from the Moving Help Marketplace. You can add hours to the following services:

When to Give Your Payment Code to Your Moving Company? 

You should make sure you add all additional hours before giving your Payment Code to your moving company. The moving company won’t get paid until you release the Payment Code to them. 

If you have a problem with your move, you don’t want to give your Payment Code to the moving company until you both come to an agreement with your complaint. 

For example, let’s say the movers damaged some of your items. You wouldn’t release the Payment Code until you agreed with the movers that they’ll reimburse you for the damages. 

If you’re wondering about when to give the Payment Code to your movers, you should only do it after the move is completed, and you’re happy with the level of satisfaction of their work. 

Adding Hours to Your Move Is Easy With Moving Help 

Moving Help has many moving companies on the Marketplace that offer a variety of hourly services. Each moving company sets its own hourly rates, so you can try to find one that fits your budget. 

If you realize you need to add more time to your move, you can add hours through your Customer Account, or you can accept the moving company’s request for additional time.
